The forest’s footprint
Sustainable Ecosystems
If nature is sustainable, why don’t we learn from it? What are the patterns and processes that sustain life? If we understood them, wouldn’t they help us better design all our human activities and develop circular economy proposals? Through this activity, we will uncover the secrets of a forest as an ecosystem: what raw materials do we extract from it? Who are its main inhabitants? How do they interrelate?
Through an exploration of the museum, we will observe the collection related to trades and the forest, the local animals, mushroom reproductions, and the herbarium. In this way, we will learn what makes the forest especially sustainable, concluding with a visualization of the relationships established within it and its keys to sustainability, so that we can apply them in our immediate environment.
